Officials

Officials are an integral part of any National Sports Association as they serve in essential positions for the sport to engage in a professional level such as referees, umpires, linesmen, scorekeepers and timekeepers. In the sport of Kabaddi, a team of six personnel, oversee the running of the entire game as officials. As such, there are many opportunities for Kabaddi enthusiasts in Singapore to get involved with the sport as officials. 

KAC SG is always on the lookout for new officials who are interested to get involved in the conduct of Kabaddi matches and tournaments. Furthermore, the association also certifies these enthusiasts upon training with the association’s affiliates and certifies them as competent and proficient Kabaddi officials. 

The association is currently working with its training affiliates to set up its course ware for training of Kabaddi officials at the following levels: 

1. Kabaddi Refereeing Level 1
2. Kabaddi Refereeing Level 2

KAC SG also recognises the long term contributions of kabaddi enthusiasts in Singapore and presents them with awards of recognition to highlight their service to the Kabaddi fraternity locally and internationally.  

All officials are required to be members of KAC SG in order for them to officiate matches within Singapore and officiate matches regionally on behalf of Singapore.
