Players

Kabaddi Association (Central SG) conducts selection of players for national representation in regional and international Kabaddi tournaments for various age group categories.

The association currently selects and trains the Under 21 and Under 18 National Teams, gearing them up for the National Men’s Kabaddi team. To ensure the inclusion of the best quality players within these teams, KAC SG scouts the major tournaments conducted by the association’s affiliate organisations. Players who perform well at these tournaments are then invited to training camps ahead of regional and international tournaments. The association also conducts periodic national trials to call for interested sportsmen to try out for national selection.

On top of selecting and training the players, the association is also in charge of the welfare of the players during their training and tournament journeys such as:

Seeking out proper training facilities
Providing effective training equipment
Ensuring safety measures are taken
Ensuring proper hydration and well-being of players
Developing advanced skill sets
